Who is responsible

Victor Guillén Alcaraz, the developer of VDeck, is the data controller. For anything related to your data, write to [email protected].

The VDeck app

• No telemetry. The app does not send usage statistics, analytics or crash reports. Crash reports are only written to your computer.
• Your data stays local. Layouts, settings, images, paired devices and logs are stored on your computer and never uploaded.
• Controllers connect directly. Phones, tablets and browsers talk to VDeck over your local network, never through our servers. System audio levels are measured live and are never recorded.
• Update checks. The app periodically downloads update information, and updates themselves, from downloads.vdeck.app. Like any web request, this reveals your IP address, the time, your platform and the version being checked. We do not link it to you or use it for anything other than delivering updates.

This website

• No cookies and no tracking. The site sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads no third-party scripts or fonts, so there is nothing to consent to.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs (IP address, time, requested page and browser user agent) to operate and secure the service. Downloads are served by our file delivery provider under the same terms.

Support email

When you write to [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you include. If you paste the diagnostics report from the app, it contains your operating system, versions, the folders VDeck uses (which may include your user name) and the local network addresses of the Controller. We only use this to answer you, and delete it when it is no longer needed for your request.

Legal basis and providers

We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in delivering, securing and supporting VDeck (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The website is hosted by Railway, and downloads and updates are delivered by Cloudflare. These providers act on our behalf and may process data outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards they offer, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not sell or share personal data with anyone else.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to its processing, or request a copy, by writing to [email protected]. You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or your local authority.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date.
